Jay's Happy Sunshine Burger Joint is Ozomatli meets the Grateful Dead. It is a mix of Jam Band, Reggae, Rock,Rap, R&B and Blues.

JHSBJ is a vehicle for all of us to express our talents and skills in a band situation. Its really rare for a group to come together with such a diverse background of talent and have such a singular focus. This band can jam, we can groove, and we don't seem to need to talk about it. We just play!

Jay Lane-Drums and Music Director: Jay plays in Ratdog,Scaring the Children and many other Bob Weir projects. Jay has also been a member of Primus and Furthur.
Happy Sanchez-Bass, Vocals and Percussion: Happy Sanchez along with his partner and Santana percussionist Karl Perazzo write and record music for film and television. Their credits include Dexter, Sopranos, Desperate Housewives and Devil Wears Prada.
Sunshine Garcia Becker-Vocals and Flute: Sunshine sang in Furthur and she currently sings with the Sunshine Garcia Band and acappella group SoVoSO.
Chris "CB" Burger-Vocals and Spoken Word: CB has rapped with Alphabet Soup,'Mofessionals. CB performs and records with Bernie Worrel and Steve Kimock, and The Funky Meters.
Greg Koerner- Bass: Founder of Gent Treadly, bassist Greg Koerner, a veteran of countless New York bands and a "phil-in" for the Dark Star Orchestra.
Perry"duBWhite"Winston-Guitar, Vocals, dubmixing: Perry has mixed for Bob Marleys' Wailers, Jennifer Lopez, Shabba Ranks, Erykah Badu.
Paul Kates-Keyboards,Vocals: Paul is an award winning composer of childrens musicals and is Music Director of Reflections, a popular NYC Jerry Garcia themed cover band.

Mad Mama & The Bona Fide Few
Described as "Whiskey-soaked Americana", Mad Mama and The Bona Fide Few's current lineup came together in San Francisco during 2011. Featuring original music by Mad Mama, live shows also feature songs by artists like Johnny Cash, Social Distortion, Hank Williams Sr. and others.

Mad Mama (vocals and ukulele): Dr. Black once said..."[she's] the perfect balance of smart and crazy - that makes [her] both desirable and dangerous."

Steve Egelman (guitar, vocals): Steve cut his teeth in the Bay Area performing with UFO cover band Electric Phase and Thin Lizzy cover band Bad Reputation. An accomplished singer/songwriter and recordist, Steve has released three cds of original material as Mile Long Post-It. An original Charcoal Mellowed Boy, Steve is also active in up-and-coming local act Brown Bag Conspiracy.

Tony Velour (bass): Tony developed his distinctive bass style performing with San Francisco bands The Resentments, PBR Street Gang, and Load the Wagon. When not holding down the low end for Mad Mama, Tony can be heard in the acclaimed rock/punk outfit Rocketship Rocketship, Brown Bag Conspiracy, and New York based Dark Horse.

Paul Monteiro (drums): Paul brings a wealth of experience, having previously performed with area favorite Asylum and Parking Lot Prophets. Paul has worked as drum tech and tour manager for Lizzy Borden, Forbidden, Badlands, Prong, and Testament. In addition to The Bona Fide Few, Paul can be seen performing with My Heavy Memory and Niles Memorial Marching Band.

Jay Lane is an American drummer from the San Francisco Bay Area. He is currently a member of Primus, Bob Weir's RatDog, Scaring the Children with Weir and Rob Wasserman, the hip hop/jazz fusion group Alphabet Soup, and his most recent endeavor, Jay's Happy Sunshine Burger Joint.

In 2002, Lane was named "drummer of the year" by the California Music Awards.
