We Banjo 3
We Banjo 3
“It’s as if the Punch Brothers, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and the Chieftains all got together for a battle of the bands but decided to pool their resources instead. The future of World Music has arrived.” – Elmore Magazine
One of the best live acts to come out of Ireland in recent years is the multi-awarded winning We Banjo 3. With a 7 time all Ireland banjo champ, a 4 time banjo champ, and another member who is an all Ireland champ on both fiddle and Bodhran, and with a passionate lead vocalist like a young Springsteen adopted by the Chieftans, the result is truly unforgettable. On both sides of the Atlantic the word is out about this group.

WB3 performed at the “Friends of Ireland” luncheon on Capital Hill attended by House Speaker Paul Ryan, President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and has headlined virtually every major US Celtic fest for several years in a row. Now the band is rapidly gaining favor in the Bluegrass and Americana world as evidenced by their invites to Merlefest, ROMP Fest, Sisters Folk Fest, Old Settlers Fest, Four Corners Fest and others.

“Count yourself among the fortunate. You are about to hear something new, something fresh, something daring, something that befits the bright, flamboyant spirit of the Banjo itself.” – Paul F. Wells, Director Emeritus, Mid Tennessee State Univ.

“They were absolutely the hottest show at this year’s Irish Fest in Milwaukee…the weekend featured the birth of a new force in Irish music” – LiveIreland.com
Huntertones
Huntertones
Huntertones is a high energy horn-driven group founded in Columbus, OH and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Their signature sound is a marriage of inspired improvisation and adventurous compositions that meld jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and rock. The band met at The Ohio State University and got their start playing house shows at their Hunter Avenue apartment. In addition to covering a wide range of genres, they’re known for the ability to shift from a dynamic six-piece ensemble to an unconventional trio featuring saxophone, sousaphone, and beat-boxing.

The band started 2016 with a month-long tour of North America, South America, and Africa through the American Music Abroad program. They were selected by the U.S. Department of State and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to engage international audiences, students, and artists from around the globe. In September, Huntertones released their second album, ‘Live.’ This record captures the band in it’s element, performing genre-bending music while feeding on the energy of a hometown crowd.

Individually, members of Huntertones have compiled a diverse resume of collaborations with top artists in the pop, jazz, soul, and musical theater worlds. This includes work with Jon Batiste and Stay Human (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), O.A.R., Snarky Puppy, Andy Grammer, Ed Sheeran, Allen Stone, Gary Clark Jr., Phillip Phillips, Ricky Martin, Umphrey’s McGee, Red Baraat, and more.
