Last night, guitarist John Kadlecik brought the John Kadlecik Band to Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California as part of a West Coast Tour. The group was joined by Kadlecik’s old Furthur band mate and Sweetwater proprietor Bob Weir for a portion of their performance in the Bay Area on Monday night.
Weir emerged to lend a hand on a batch of songs that included plenty of Grateful Dead classics such as “Sugaree,” “The Other One” and “West L.A. Fadeaway” as well as a tribute to Merle Haggard in “Workin’ Man Blues.” Bobby also fronted the John K. Band on “Throwing Stones,” a Grateful Dead song he has yet to perform with Dead & Company. The John Kadlecik Band now heads to Colorado for a series of shows.
